Raw Peppermint Slice

My philosophy surrounding food has always been to choose the most nutrient dense options available. So if I’m going to have dessert I’m going to make sure that it tastes great but that it’s also packed full of nutrient dense foods. This slice is rich, luscious, decadent and free from refined sugars, wheat flour and vegetable oils.

How to put this all together:

What you’ll need


10 medjool dates, pitted

                        3 cups of toasted almonds

                        ½ cup of cacao powder

Filling:                        3 cups of cashew nuts

                        1 cup of shredded coconut

                        ½ cup of coconut oil

6-8 drops of peppermint oil

¾ cup of maple syrup

Topping:        1 cup of coconut oil

                        1 cup of cacao powder

                        ½ cup of maple syrup
